On the first weekend in November, VIT organized a VIT / CMAS Crossover Instructor Exam at the Tauchschule Neufahrn near Munich. Four diving instructors, including base manager Heidi Gündermann, met on Saturday morning with the VIT instructor team consisting of Robert Schneck (TL★★★), Stephan Schöppl (TL★★★-candidate) and director of training Sepp Grimm to start with the theory part of the CO.
After lectures on the VIT, the VIT certification procedure, the VIT security standards, the VIT TL liability insurance, legal and EU-standards and the presentations of the candidates followed in the evening, the written exam, which demanded a lot from the prospective VIT instructors.
The next day, the corresponding examination dives were made at the nearby Echinger Weiher. Despite the sub-optimal weather, but good visibility, the TL candidates completed their dives with flying colors.
At the final meeting in the dive center, the new VIT diving instructors were handed the certificates, certification cards and diving instructor stamps.
The VIT congratulates the newly-minted VIT / CMAS instructors Heidi Gündermann (TL★★), Mike Hartung (TL★★), Maik Wiedermann (TL★★) and Thomas Schumacher (TL★★) on their passed crossover exam. On this occasion, Stephan Schöppl was able to complete the missing parts of his TL★★★-training, which started last year on the island of Krk. We wish you all the time relaxing as well as adventurous and above all accident-free dives!
